Volkswagen Invests US$1.7B In Electric Trucks And Buses

Wolfsburg, Germany: German automaker Volkswagen is committing US$1.7 billion in new automotive technology that includes electric drivetrains and autonomous systems. It is the latest automaker—with Ford, Tesla, Mercedes-Benz and Nikola Motors already investing in electric trucks—to leverage its electric vehicle investments into developing electric powertrains for its trucks and buses.
